How to play Watermelon Game

The goal is to keep merging matching fruit while managing the space in the bottle. There is no fixed time limit for the round. You can pause when you want a break.

1. Aim, then drop

Move your pointer or drag your finger across the game area to choose a drop position, then release. With the board focused, Left and Right adjust your aim; Space or Enter drops a fruit. Drops are at least 0.4 seconds apart. The Next card shows the fruit coming after the one you are aiming.

2. Match levels

Two touching fruits of the same level combine into one fruit of the next level. A fruit's level determines its size and merge partner, even when you mix visual styles. New drops come from levels 1 to 5; reach the higher levels by merging.

3. Build your score

Points are based on the level of the pair you merge: level 1 gives 1 point, level 2 gives 3, and level 3 gives 6. The full sequence is 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, 28, 36, 45, 55 and 66. Creating a watermelon from a level-10 pair gives 55 points. Clearing a level-11 pair gives 66. The consecutive-merge message is a visual celebration, not a score multiplier.

4. Leave space above the pile

A newly dropped fruit is exempt from overflow until it touches the floor or a fruit that has already landed. After that, fruit extending above the dashed line starts a board-wide danger timer. The round ends if that overflow continues for 2 seconds. Bring every eligible fruit below the line to reset the timer; a merge does not reset it if another fruit still overflows.

Give your next fruit somewhere to go

Try to join equal levels rather than only building height. Leave a path for smaller fruit to reach its match and use the Next preview before filling a narrow gap. This is a physics-based board: fruit can roll after landing, so watch the result of one drop before committing to the next.

Pause, restart and return

Pause with the button or P. Opening the skin picker or help dialog also pauses play. Restart clears the current round but keeps your best score and selected skins. A saved round resumes paused when you return, so you can look at the board before continuing.
